Question

How do I get enough protein in a vegan burrito without it feeling like a supplement shake?

I eat plant-based for health reasons and protein is important to me. Every time I try to build a high-protein vegan burrito it ends up feeling constructed — too much visible hemp powder, the tempeh texture is jarring, the nutritional yeast is detectable. Is there a way to build meaningful protein into a vegan burrito where the protein sources feel like natural food rather than supplements?

Nutritional yeast works best when stirred into the bean broth during the last five minutes of cooking rather than sprinkled on top. It becomes part of the broth flavor rather than a visible powder, and the umami contribution is real without tasting artificial.
