What happens to my bookmarked topics if they get deleted?

Question

I use bookmarks to track threads I want to come back to. If the original author or a moderator deletes a topic, does the bookmark just disappear or does it show something that tells me the thread is gone?

If a topic is deleted, the bookmark entry will remain in your bookmarks list but clicking it will result in a page-not-found. There is currently no 'deleted content' indicator — the link just does not go anywhere. This is known behaviour. The workaround is to check periodically and clear broken bookmarks manually.
